What a bathroom project can include

  • Shower remodel: walls, pan or base, tile, niche, fixtures and glass
  • Tub-to-shower conversion: tub removal, new base, waterproofing, tile and door
  • Wall and floor tile, prepared so it stays flat and watertight
  • Vanity, countertop and mirror replacement
  • Vinyl plank or tile flooring suited to a wet room
  • Board and framing repairs where walls are opened for plumbing changes
  • A bath fan vented to the outdoors
  • Paint, trim and hardware

Exhaust fans that exit through the roofline need sealed penetrations, which is roof repair territory. Floor materials are described on flooring installation, and wall finishing is covered on drywall and ceiling repair.

Shower remodels and tub conversions

Most shower projects start with a worn tub, cracked tile or a layout that stopped working. What decides longevity is hidden: framing, the waterproofing layer and the slope of the base. Those items are scoped on their own so the visible tile is not the only thing priced.

Moving a drain, adding a valve or shifting a supply line is licensed plumbing work. The plumber finishes before walls close, and we handle framing, waterproofing, tile and finish around that work.

When the bathroom has been leaking

A slow drip behind a valve or under a vanity can soften board and subfloor before any stain appears. Soft spots, discolored walls or a floor that flexes mean the source and the damaged material come first. Read how that part works on water damage restoration and interior repair and rebuild, then the remodel goes onto a sound base.

How a bathroom project runs

  1. Decide what the room needs

A new shower, a tub swap, a vanity change or a gut renovation each lead to a different plan. If water damage is suspected, we look behind the walls early.

  2. Write one itemized scope

Demolition, framing, board, waterproofing, tile, vanity, floor, ventilation, paint and the plumbing and electrical portions are separate lines you can compare.

  3. Line up permits and partners

We note which permits apply and book the licensed plumber and electrician we coordinate, so their rough work wraps up before walls close.

  4. Build in order

Demolition, framing fixes, waterproofing and tile follow in sequence, with each stage ready for the next trade.

  5. Finish and walk through

Fixtures, vanity, trim and paint complete the room, and we review the finished bathroom with you.

Permits and licensed partners

Once plumbing, wiring or structure changes, a permit is usually involved. The building department decides for each project, and we name those items in writing. Florida-licensed partners handle electrical and plumbing, and Noland’s holds building license CBC1268061 for the rest, shown per FS 489.119.

What shapes a bathroom price

  • Room size and how much is replaced
  • Keeping the layout versus moving the shower, tub, toilet or vanity
  • Tile, glass, fixture, vanity and countertop selections
  • Plumbing and electrical changes by the partners
  • Condition found behind walls and under the floor
  • Permit requirements

Bathroom remodeling: common questions

Which bathroom projects do you take on?

Shower remodels, tub-to-shower conversions, tile, vanity swaps, flooring, drywall and framing, ventilation and rebuilds after water damage, up to complete renovations, all under building contractor license CBC1268061.

Who performs the plumbing and wiring?

Licensed plumbing and electrical partners that we coordinate. Relocating a drain, setting a valve or adding a fan circuit is their licensed work, scheduled so walls stay open until it is done.

Can a tub become a walk-in shower?

Yes. The tub comes out, a licensed plumber adjusts the drain and supply, and we rebuild the walls, add waterproofing, tile and set the new base and glass.

Can you rebuild a bathroom after a leak?

Yes. The source is repaired by the right trade, damaged board and subfloor come out, framing is corrected and the room is rebuilt.

Is ventilation included?

It can be. A fan that vents outdoors keeps moisture out of walls and ceilings. The scope names the fan, the duct and the exit point, and an electrician wires the circuit.

Will I need a permit?

Often, particularly when plumbing or wiring changes. Your local building department decides, and the written scope lists the items that need one.

How is a bathroom priced?

By size, scale of changes, materials, fixtures, plumbing moves and what turns up behind the walls. An itemized price follows a visit or photos.

Do you install tile and flooring?

Yes. Wall and floor tile and vinyl plank are part of the scope, and the flooring page covers the materials in more depth.
