Kitchen remodeling, from new cabinets to a full renovation

Noland’s remodels Central Florida kitchens: new layouts, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring, board and paint. A licensed building contractor (CBC1268061) leads the work, and the licensed partners we coordinate perform the plumbing, lighting and other electrical portions.

What a kitchen project can cover

  • Layout changes, including moving or removing walls
  • Cabinet installation and removal of the old units
  • Countertops in the material you select
  • Backsplash tile
  • Vinyl plank, tile, laminate or engineered wood flooring
  • Drywall repair, texture and paint
  • Lighting and plumbing changes by licensed partners

A range hood that vents through the roof adds a penetration that roof repair keeps sealed. Materials for the floor are compared on flooring installation and replacement.

Layout, cabinets and counters

The layout is the biggest lever on scope. Leaving the sink, range and refrigerator where they stand keeps trade work small, while opening a wall or relocating the sink adds framing, plumbing and wiring. We scope both options when you are undecided.

Cabinets and counters depend on each other, since countertop templates are made after cabinets are set. The scope lists cabinet installation, countertop and backsplash as separate lines so each can be compared.

Refresh or full remodel

A refresh keeps the footprint and replaces what you see: cabinet fronts or whole cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring and paint. A full remodel moves the footprint, which may mean shifting walls, relocating the sink and adding circuits. Permits and trades grow with every layout change.

Not sure which you need? Name the one thing that bothers you most. Often the answer is a few selections rather than a gut job, and we can write both versions so you can weigh them side by side.

Decide on flooring early. Cabinets usually sit on a prepared floor or the floor runs to them, and one continuous floor into nearby rooms means listing the transitions.

Plumbing and lighting by licensed partners

Sink and dishwasher lines, gas, recessed lights, under-cabinet fixtures and added outlets are licensed trade work. Florida-licensed plumbing and electrical partners do it, scheduled ahead of board and cabinets. Noland’s holds building license CBC1268061, displayed per FS 489.119.

Rebuilding a kitchen after a leak

Water from under a sink, a dishwasher or the roof can swell cabinet bases, soften floors and stain walls. Source first, rebuild second. Learn how that runs on water damage restoration and interior repair and rebuild.

How a kitchen project runs

  1. Start from how you cook and live

We ask where the work happens, what frustrates you and what stays put. Cabinet, counter and floor choices follow that layout.

  2. Write the scope in lines

Demolition, framing, board, cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring, paint and the plumbing and wiring portions each get a line in one document.

  3. Pull permits and book partners

We flag permit needs and schedule the licensed plumber and electrician we coordinate, so rough-in work lands before walls are closed.

  4. Tear out and prepare

Old cabinets and counters leave, walls and framing are repaired where needed and the floor is made ready.

  5. Set, tile and finish

Cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring, trim and paint go in, followed by final fixture and lighting hookups by the licensed partners.

What shapes a kitchen quote

  • Kitchen size and whether the layout moves
  • Cabinet type and countertop material
  • Flooring choice and area covered
  • Condition of walls, floors and framing once opened
  • Plumbing and wiring changes by licensed partners
  • Permit requirements

Kitchen remodeling: common questions

Which kitchen jobs do you handle?

Layout changes, cabinet installation, countertops, backsplash, flooring, drywall repair, paint and trim, with lighting and plumbing changes coordinated through partners. The work runs under building contractor license CBC1268061.

Who moves a sink or adds lighting?

Licensed plumbing and electrical partners that we coordinate. Relocating a sink, adding a dishwasher line, running new circuits or moving outlets is their licensed work, not ours.

Is installing only new cabinets possible?

Yes. That means removing the old units, repairing the walls behind them, then setting, leveling and trimming the new ones.

Do you handle countertops and backsplash?

Yes. We coordinate templating and fabrication for the material you pick, then tile the backsplash and finish around it.

Can a kitchen be rebuilt after water damage?

Yes, once the source is fixed. Wet cabinets, board and flooring come out and the room is rebuilt; see the water damage and interior repair pages for how that runs.

Does a kitchen project need a permit?

Frequently, when walls, plumbing, wiring or structure change. A cabinet-and-counter swap may need less. The building department decides, and the scope states it.

What will a kitchen cost?

That depends on size, layout changes, cabinet and counter selections, flooring and trade work, so we publish no figure. An itemized quote follows a visit or photos.

Can I keep my layout to simplify things?

Yes. Leaving the sink, appliances and walls in place usually trims trade work, and we can price a refresh next to a layout change.
