Built for the builder’s schedule
We work directly with builders and site supervisors on the build sequence already in place — no relaying information back and forth through the homeowner. We install asphalt shingle, clay and concrete tile, and standing-seam or corrugated metal roofing, matched to the plans and the community’s architectural standards.
For a custom home, ask the builder to include the roofing scope in the project coordination. A new roof quoted from plans is a different request from replacing an existing roof. Send the plans for review rather than treating an online replacement estimate as the price of a new-construction project.

- Project address, builder or GC contact, and current plan revision.
- Roof layout, selected covering and any architectural restrictions.
- Proposed penetrations and work that other trades must coordinate.

Compare bids against the same plan revision
A roof outline and a material name leave important details unresolved. Before comparing totals, identify the drawing revision, roof areas, selected system and any alternates. Ask each proposal to state what is included and what needs clarification before the work can be scheduled.
- System: covering, underlayment, attachment details and relevant product specifications.
- Transitions: valleys, walls, penetrations, roof edges and connections between different roof materials.
- Coordination: who supplies each component, completes preceding work and arranges required inspections.
- Changes: who approves revised plans, substitutions or added work, with their price and schedule implications.
Agree the handoffs before installation
At plan review, identify open specifications and the decision maker. Before mobilization, confirm site readiness, access, staging and other trades’ roof penetrations. During the work, coordinate inspection points and changes with the builder. At completion, request the agreed inspection records, product information and written warranty documents. Record these responsibilities in the project scope; this checklist does not establish a promised installation date.

Yes. We discuss the roofing scope and build sequence directly with builders, general contractors and site supervisors. Homeowners commissioning a custom build can also request a plans-based quote.
What do you need for a new-construction roofing quote?
Start with the project address, current roof plans, proposed materials and target milestones. Identify the builder or site contact and any architectural requirements. We will confirm what additional information is needed.
Can I use the online roof estimator for a house that is not built?
No. The online estimator is intended for existing asphalt-shingle replacement planning. A new-construction roof needs a separate quote based on the plans and project scope.
Can you meet my construction schedule?
Share the target dates before assuming availability. Roofing milestones depend on the agreed scope, site readiness, materials, weather and required inspections. Confirm responsibilities and timing with the project team.
What should a builder compare between roofing bids?
Use the same plan revision and compare the specified roof system, flashing, penetrations, roof-edge details, permit and inspection responsibilities, exclusions and change process. Separate requested alternates from the base scope so the totals are comparable.
What should be confirmed before roofing work starts?
Confirm the current drawings, selected products, readiness of preceding work, access and staging, other trades' penetrations, and responsibility for inspections. Agree who can approve a change and how schedule changes will be communicated.
