Flooring installation and replacement for Central Florida homes
Noland’s lays luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile and engineered hardwood and repairs the subfloor under all of them, under building contractor license CBC1268061. When a leak spoiled the floor, our roofing license CCC1335461 lets us fix the opening above it too.

Materials and where they work best
The right floor depends on the room, how wet it gets and what lies under it. These are the choices homeowners ask about most.
Vinyl plank
Made to shrug off spills and surface water, which explains its popularity in kitchens, laundry rooms and whole-house projects over a slab.
Laminate
A wood-look surface at a lower price than hardwood. Standing water bothers it more than vinyl, so it goes where spills are rare.
Tile
Porcelain and ceramic suit kitchens, baths, entries and living areas. Base preparation and grout lines decide how it looks and lasts.
Engineered hardwood
A real-wood top layer on a layered core that tolerates humidity swings better than solid planks. Some products do not suit every slab, so we confirm before ordering.
Replacing floors after a leak
Water from a roof opening, a failed seal or a pipe can soak flooring and the subfloor below. Boards cup, planks lift, tile loosens and the base turns soft. New surface laid over a damaged base fails early.
The scope removes wet flooring, repairs the subfloor and installs the new material. Leaks from above get closed first, starting with roof leak repair and continuing through water damage restoration, and the walls and ceilings in those rooms are rebuilt through interior repair.
Subfloor repair
A floor is only as flat as the layer under it. Repair means cutting out damaged plywood or boards, fixing the supports below when needed and leveling the area. Damaged joists or framing under the deck belong to foundation and structural repair.
How a flooring job runs
Walk the floor and probe the base
We note the rooms, what is down now and any spots that feel soft or raised. Wet floors are judged by the condition of the subfloor, not just the surface.
Match material to room
Plank, laminate, tile and engineered wood handle humidity, traffic and concrete slabs differently. Each room's choice is discussed before it enters the scope.
Tear out and level
Old flooring is removed, bad subfloor is repaired or replaced and the base is flattened for the new material. Transitions and trim are named in the scope.
Lay the new floor
Underlayment or setting materials go in as the product requires, then baseboards and transition strips are reset or replaced.
What moves a flooring price
Because the job sets the cost, we avoid publishing a per-square-foot figure. These inputs decide it:
- Square footage and room layout
- Material and product line
- Subfloor condition and repairs
- Removal and disposal of the old floor
- Stairs, transitions, baseboards and furniture moving
- Permits, when the project needs them
Planning a bigger room project? Floors are part of our bathroom remodeling and kitchen remodeling scopes, and the interior and exterior repairs hub shows the rest.

Flooring: common questions
Which flooring types do you install?
Luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile and engineered hardwood, along with the subfloor beneath them. Share the rooms and the look you want and we suggest what fits each space.
Do you replace floors that a leak ruined?
Yes. Soaked, cupped or stained flooring is pulled out and damaged subfloor is fixed first. If the water came from the roof, we repair that too so the new floor is not exposed again.
Which is better for a Florida home, vinyl plank or laminate?
Both are popular. Vinyl plank is built to resist surface water, which suits kitchens, baths and slab homes, while laminate reacts more to standing water. Ask which product line is rated for your room.
Can new flooring go over the old?
Sometimes, when the existing surface is flat, dry and solid. We inspect it and explain what needs to be removed.
Do you lay tile?
Yes, including surface preparation, setting, grout and transitions to the next floor. Kitchens and baths are the usual tile rooms, and tile is also part of our remodel scopes.
What is subfloor repair?
The subfloor is the layer under your finished floor. Water, rot or movement can soften or warp it, and it has to be repaired before a new floor goes on, or the new floor will fail.
What changes the price of a flooring job?
Square footage, material, subfloor condition, removal of the old floor, furniture moving, stairs, transitions and trim. We write an itemized price from your measurements or a visit.
Is a permit needed for new flooring?
A like-for-like swap usually is not, while structural subfloor work can be. The building department for your area decides, and the scope notes it.
