Siding Replacement & Repair

Siding is the part of your house that takes the weather sideways. In Central Florida that means UV all year, humidity that never really leaves, and rain driven hard enough to find any gap in the envelope. We repair and replace siding across Central Florida and the Bradenton area, and we inspect the soffit, fascia, and roofline at the same time — because water that damages one of them usually arrived through another. Inspections are free.

What we install, and what to watch for

Every material below works in Florida. They fail in different ways, which is the part most quotes leave out.

Vinyl

The most common choice in Florida and the least expensive to install. Modern panels carry UV inhibitors that resist the chalky fade older vinyl was known for. Handles humidity without rotting, and damaged panels can be swapped individually rather than re-siding a whole wall.

Worth knowing: Cheaper panels can warp against a hot south-facing wall. Panel thickness matters more than color.

Fiber cement

Heavier and more impact-resistant than vinyl, with a painted finish that holds color for years. It will not rot, and insects have no interest in it. The usual pick when a homeowner wants the look of wood without the maintenance wood demands in this climate.

Worth knowing: Costs more to install because it is heavy and cuts slowly. Needs repainting eventually — not never.

Board and batten

A vertical profile, available in both vinyl and fiber cement. Sheds wind-driven rain well because water runs down the battens rather than sitting on a horizontal lap.

Worth knowing: Installation detail matters more than the material. Poor flashing at the top of a run is where water gets in.

Siding — common questions

Do you replace siding, or only roofs?

Both. Siding, soffit, and fascia are the same envelope as the roof, and the water that damages one usually came from the other. We inspect all of it and tell you which parts actually need work.

How do I know whether to repair or replace?

If the damage is confined to a few panels and the material behind them is dry, a repair is honest work. If the sheathing behind the siding is soft, or panels are failing in several places at once, patching it costs you twice. We will show you what we find and say which it is.

Will new siding survive a hurricane?

Siding is rated for wind uplift the same way roofing is, and the rating depends on the fastening pattern as much as the panel. We install to the manufacturer's wind schedule for this region rather than the minimum that passes inspection.

Is the inspection really free?

Yes. We look, we photograph what we find, and we give you a written number. There is no charge and no obligation.
